In Year 1 we have been using our science and DT skills to investigate the best materials for making kites. So far we have tested tissue paper and sugar paper. We found out that the paper tore too easily so next time we are going to test plastic. We have to make our kites exactly the same each time to make it a fair test.
Jack “I had fun making my kite. I had lots of fun running around with my kite too. My paper tore which made my sticks fall off. I don’t think paper makes good kites”
Jacob “You have to run really quickly with your kite to get it to fly high”
Dominik “I didn’t tie my string very well to my kite, next time I will add some sellotape to make sure it doesn’t fall off.”
