4M kicked off the new year with our Ancient Egyptian Wow Day! We deciphered hieroglyphics; we wrote our own coded messages using these ancient symbols; we went on a treasure hunt to find out some more interesting (and gruesome) facts; and we even mummified tomatoes! We learnt about the way Egyptians used to embalm dead bodies to preserve them so we tried the same. We cut a small hole in the tomato, scooped out the internal ‘organs’, stuffed it with salts and packaged them away tightly to open in 6 weeks and see the results! Even after all of this excitement, we even had time to start our new book, Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll.
