On Thursday, 6B visited the JR to take part in The Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools (IMPS), which teaches children what to do if someone is hurt.
We were taught about the Drs ABC, which means: Danger, Response, Shout for help, Airway, Breathing, CPR. We were taught how, when and why to put a patient in the recovery position. We also watched a film about how to prevent and treat minor injuries. It was a fun day.
