Classic Poetry Recitals 2022
As part of our new English curriculum, we launched an exciting Classic Poetry Recitals project this term, with the pupils in each year group studying and reciting a famous poem from highly-regarded poets. It was wonderful to see the level of enthusiasm and engagement from the children, and it was fantastic that over 50 pupils took part in the recital competition. which ran alongside the project. The project culminated in class recitals – which were of a very high standard, and which can be viewed via Classdojo.

Year 3- A Great Lady by Carolyn Wells
Year 4- The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear
Year 5- The Charge of the Light Brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Year 6- The Tyger by William Blake
