Outdoor Learning  at Phil & Jim offers unique, individual experiences for the children through active involvement with nature – regardless of the weather. It gives the children the opportunity to get out into nature to explore, to learn and to have fun and to do all this with their peers in a safe supervised environment.

At Nature School, the focus is on the process of playing and we encourage a sense if awe and wonder through natural exploration. Our staff offer supported activities such as den building and nature walks but they also  the children to direct their own learning, which enables them to further understand and take joy from their surroundings.

We strongly believe that outdoor learning offers an ideal approach for young people to engage with the world around them, and with our Nature School we want to offer children prolonged, regular opportunities to develop this bond. Our aim is to provide a stimulating context to explore how they can experience being present with all elements of their world and how they can contribute to a more sustainable present and future.
