Forest School Year 2 – The Final Week

The final term in the woods has just flown by. The kids have enjoyed returning to the forest and have all been astounded by how different it all looks and feels in the summer compared to the winter. For the final sessions, the children were given the opportunity to work in groups to put all their den making skills into use. Each group built their own den in which to enjoy their hot chocolates and biscuits as they had wished for. Not only did they put together some awesome shelters but with a bit of forest imaginary these dens turned into some quite creative cafes and restaurants. What amazing dished we got to try together with Mr Bovey-Hull and Mrs Rhymes.

I hope the children will take with them the simple rules of Forest School – Look after yourself. Look after each other. Look after the nature.
