What a wonderful International Day we celebrated together! Thank you to everyone who contributed to International Day this year. It was a great success!
The children enjoyed a range of exciting activities based upon their year group’s designated country during the school day, from Y6 learning how to greet each other in Brazilian Portuguese, to Year 2 tasting a traditional Cuban rice dish. It was fantastic to see and hear about the children’s own cultures too – sharing their amazing clothes and items which they had brought into school.
The day was finished off by the delicious food fair, where everyone was able to sample typical foods from: Ukraine, the United States of America, Korea, Nigeria, Japan, Poland, Algeria and many other countries. Phil & Jim is so lucky to be part of such a diverse community. We can’t wait for next year’s International Day!
