Our Principles of Science Teaching

Encourage wonder – Children are encouraged to question.

Facilitate exploration – Priority is given to hands-on practical Science in lessons.

Promote Science talk – Through discussions and modelling of scientific vocabulary, children engage in deeper thinking.

Inspire – Pupils are exposed to real scientists and engineers with the aim of inspiring the next generation of STEM.

Our Science Projects 2021- 2022

In March 2022, we will be celebrating Science Week across the school, in conjunction with British Science week, exploring science, technology, engineering and maths. This year’s theme is Growth. Watch this space for further information nearer the time!

In June and July 2022, the whole school will be taking part in a Famous Scientists project. We will be running science fairs, delving into the lives and achievements of famous scientists from different fields and disciplines, and carrying out our own scientific investigations. More information to follow!
