Oil slick in Year 6!

In art this week, we learned different techniques and ways of using oil pastels. We used these skills to create an enormous mosaic of Hokusai’s ‘The Great Wave’. Each child made a section of the picture and we pieced it together to create one giant artwork.

“I liked the way we worked together to create a masterpiece. It was great fun!” says Xanthe, a pupil in class 6J. “I definitely think it was a great way to spend an afternoon.”

“I really enjoyed making the artwork and using the different techniques and watching it come together.” Zofia (6J)

“It didn’t really turn out the way I wanted mine to, but it was really fun because we had a lot of techniques that we could use.” Ella (6P)
