Themes from written comments

Below are the key themes that came from the verbatim comments

What I really value about our school:

  • Parents and children feel genuinely part of a caring community
  • It is a friendly and welcoming environment where children are cared for and valued
  • There’s a great range of activities for the children
  • The school has an international feel and is very inclusive.
  • Great teachers – many were named including the EYFS team, Miss Wortley, Miss Waterman and Ms Conway
The above comments were very consistent with last year.
One way the school could improve is:
  • Clearer approach to homework – including more feedback
  • Better feedback on children’s progress
  • More consistency in communication. This includes response to emails, and greater detail on what children are covering
  • A greater focus on pushing those talented children
The above comments were again consistent to last year. The additional theme this year was:
  • Uniforms, a number of parents would like to see them introduced.
