For our topic on The Lost Words, Year 3 have been exploring our local environment and thinking about what different animal, bird and plant species live near us. We went on a trip to listen to some of the poems in The Lost Words, focus on the sounds of nature we often miss, and do some observational sketching of plant life. On the trip, we also shared our Learning Log homework where we had presented research on different British animals and plants. Thank you to our parent volunteers who came with us. What an exciting start to our topic!
