This week in Early Years we have been following the adventures of Pete the Cat. After reading Pete the Cat – I love my white shoes by Eric Litwin & James Dean, we explored how to try to put a positive spin on things, how to overcome our worries and how to move on from our upsets.
We collected data on the favourite shoe colour in the class – and discovered that grey was the least favourite colour in EYC.
The children decided to create designs for shoes to display in the cloakroom to remind them to remain resilient and brave.
We also wrote about our favourite shoes, made origami cats, and finally explored what would actually happen if Pete walked in strawberries and blueberries. We were very surprised that our predictions were wrong. Did we cry?
