This week saw the launch of our four-week Science-fiction project. Over the next few weeks, we will be exploring the world of science-fiction, and the children will be reading carefully-chosen sci-fi texts by acclaimed authors, ranging from Jules Verne to Neil Gaiman. There will be quizzes, assemblies and workshops, and cross-curricular links to Maths and Science – it promises to be a very exciting project!
On Monday we launched the project with Science-fiction Day. The day began with an assembly and the children enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day. The highlight of the day was seeing the wonderful array of costumes the children (and staff!) dressed up in – it was a fantastic effort. Well done everyone – what an enthusiastic start to our project!
