Science Week 2022
This week, as you may have heard, the whole school have been celebrating and taking part in British Science week. During curriculum time, each year group has been learning about a different topic under the umbrella of this year’s theme, Growth. Many investigations happened through the week, from designing the best rocket for space travel, to imitating and discovering which ‘beak’ suits certain foods. During the launch assembly on Monday and lunchtimes, we have been participating in exciting experiments: does a green mento or a blue mento cause more of an explosion? What makes the best flying paper aeroplane? What reaction creates Elephant’s toothpaste? And most importantly, how much mess can we make?
It has been such an amazing week seeing the children enjoying Science, and raising the excitement and profile of the subject across the school. We would also like to thank our visitors who came in this week to share their expertise with the children: you captivated and inspired them!
