A massive thank you to Rev and Mrs Walters (or Daniel and Eva) for their hard work and tremendous organisational skills in arranging the year 6 pilgrimage to St Giles last week. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day out visiting St Margaret’s, the old SS Philip and James school and church and St Giles church. We are very grateful to the other adults who supported the trip with their enjoyable and informative talks – Michelle Crawford, David Smith and Dr Andrew Sillett. Dr Sillett was impressed with the children’s knowledge and maturity so a big congratulations to the children on being such excellent ambassadors for the school. It was a real pleasure to see the children revelling in the opportunity to enjoy the sort of day out which was previously commonplace in their primary education. This was the first ‘pilgrimage’ experience that we have put on with St Margaret’s, we hope to be able to provide such lovely opportunities through our collaborative efforts in future.
