Trip to the Oxford Synagogue

Today, Year 3 had a wonderful time visiting the Oxford Synagogue and Jewish Centre in Jericho as part of their RE learning. They learnt all about the Torah, the Sabbath and even heard a story that Jewish children are taught with the moral that, even when we may not want to do something, we should always do what is right.

At the moment, it is Sukkot (a Jewish holy period) so the children were able to see the area where many Jewish people eat outside during this time. It is currently all decorated with hanging decorations and fruit too, which was fascinating to see. Everyone learnt so much on this trip.
