Today we celebrated World Book Day, and it was fantastic to see the effort the children (and staff) went to with their costumes! We had a range of characters, including Oliver Twist, Thing 1 & Thing 2, Willy Wonka, Maleficent and Robin Hood. Well done to everyone for your superb efforts, and a special well done to this year’s best-dressed winners:

In the morning, Y5 & Y6 attended a ‘press conference’ with Miss Havisham, in the afternoon the children in KS2 read stories to their younger peers, and then the day concluded with a special World Book Day quiz. What a fun-filled day of exploring stories, characters and books!
