Y3’s Trip to the Ashmolean Museum

posted in: School Events 0

This week, Y3 went to the Ashmolean Museum where they took part in a workshop on Ancient Egyptians and looked around other parts of the museum. Jemima and Iris enjoyed handling and smelling artefacts: “The mirror smelled of metal and the statue smelt of smoky sausages!”

Amalie and May said that they especially enjoyed the challenging scavenger hunt because they used their imaginations and drew artefacts.

As well as the mummy, another highlight was the wall with the ancient Egyptian writing which featured King Taharqa. Y3 thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and we look forward to using our learning in school.
