On Monday, the children were looking at area and we decided, because the sun was shining, to take our learning outside to investigate the area of our initials. The children used chalk to write down their letter names and then split them into compound shapes to work out the area. We used trundle wheels and meter sticks to measure accurately. It was certainly interesting looking at what unit of measurements we should use too.
It was great to see all the maths we have been revising coming into full use. Well done!
