Y6 Girls Touch Rugby
This week, girls in year 6 took part in a touch rugby tournament where they joined girls from other schools to enjoy a morning of rugby. They were first taught the basic skills of touch rugby by Oxford Harlequins players and coaches and then played a series of games against each other. All of the girls were an asset to Phil & Jim in the way they got stuck in and supported one other to have fun and develop their skills. Special shout out to Helena, Abi and Maya who were awarded Players of the Tournament by the coaches. There are definitely some future rugby stars amongst the girls in year 6!
Oxford Harlequins are running a half term rugby taster session and really want to encourage young girls to play rugby so please sign your child up if they were enthused by the tournament.
