Y6 Kilvrough 2023 (more photos to follow)

Y6 have had an amazing week in Kilvrough taking part in a fabulous range of outdoor activities: orienteering, rock climbing, abseiling, caving (“This is the best day of my life!” – Hong), canoeing, waterfall walks (where some children even washed their hair in the waterfall!), a night walk to a ruined castle, and den building.

It has been a fabulous opportunity for the children to really practise their team work and communication skills. They have demonstrated great kindness, patience, independence, resilience and perseverance all week. The staff have been so impressed; one Kilvrough staff member declared, “They are the best group I’ve ever had.”

On the caving day, a child proclaimed, “We have certainly all eaten well, worked, played and laughed hard this week, but we are also looking forward to seeing our families again and sleeping back in our own beds.”

“I have really enjoyed Kilvrough for many reasons. One reason is how friendly the activity leaders have been. I have also loved the food – it’s AMAZING! Even being on dinner duty has been fun! So overall I think our stay at Kilvrough was 10/10, the best it could be.” – Lilac, Y6.
