In science, year 1 have been learning about our bodies and the 5 senses. This week we used our senses to identify and classify a range of different fruits.
We used our senses of sight, smell and touch to identify the different fruits then sorted them into 2 groups to sell on our ‘market stalls’. Some groups sorted by: soft and hard, smooth and bumpy, orange and not orange.
Children made posters to ‘advertise’ their groups and we all walked around our ‘market’ to think about different ways we could classify them.
