On Friday the 8th of December Year 5 went to Wychwood School for the morning to explore different languages. One group did German, another did French, there was also Spanish and finally, Italian. We studied Christmas in those countries – from traditions to quizzes, and learnt how to say a few Christmassy words too! EG, Joyeux Noel (French for Merry Christmas) and Fröhe Weihnachten (Merry Christmas in German).
The school also kindly provided us with a yummy morning snack (consisting of either cookies or bread or fruit, with water alongside) and a delicious lunch which had an option of either macaroni cheese or pasta bolognese (you could have carrots, water and garlic bread as well), and for pudding we had scrumptious fruit yogurt.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
