On Tuesday, Year 5 enjoyed an exciting Indonesian culture and music workshop at Dragon School.

“I enjoyed the dances which were bursting with energy. The simple movements imitated life itself, for example, eating grass.” (Rahee)

“Gamelan is different to our instruments. The instruments are sophisticated and make a soothing sound.” (Spiro)

“The sound of Gamelan was soothing. I like the concept of the notation. One of them set the beat and another told us when to start and stop.” (Milena)

“I liked going to a different school and meeting different kids.” (Clara)

“I liked having a day out of school and having lunch outside.” (Bruno)

The pupils all enjoyed the dancing, puppet making, snacks and having lunch outside! What a great day!
