Last week, during outdoor learning, year 6 learnt how to tie secure knots to enable them to build a den out of bamboo sticks and rope. They worked really well together in their teams, focussing on listening to each other and following the leader of their group to effectively come together to create a waterproof den.
This is what Beth and Eirini wrote about the activity:
We did a very fun lesson on outdoor learning. We got split into 3 teams and each team had to make a shelter to fit their whole team. Everyone managed spectacularly and in a result the lesson was great. A lot of people got competitive, but only playfully and there were no disasters.
