Monday 18th March

This evening, Year 6 have been playing Robot Wars. Each team had to take part in a number of challenges to earn cardboard in order to make their robot. Once they’d created their robots, each team then had to stay the driest. Team Oofers were the winners!

Tuesday 19th March

After a delicious breakfast of bacon or veggie sausage, we started the day with a big game of monkey ball. Each group then went off for their morning activities, which included challenge course, rifle shooting and aeroball. After lunch, more activities followed including zip wire, fencing, quad biking and team games. We finished the day with singing songs around the campfire – it was great fun!

Wednesday 20th March

Today was another jam-packed day of activities for each group, which included orienteering and archery. In the evening, we had a quiz, which was won by team Ya Nan.

Thursday 21st March

Today we started with a big game of splat, followed by another delicious breakfast to keep us all going for a full day of activities. Today’s activities included hire ropes, street surfing, abseiling and climbing. After dinner, we played ambush and then began the mammoth task of packing ready for tomorrow.

Friday 22nd March

Today began with even more packing – the odd socks scattered around the rooms seemed never ending. After one final delicious breakfast, each group set off for their final two activities which included trapeze and team games. After lunch (burger day), all the bags were loaded onto the coach and we set off on the journey home, which was much quieter than the journey down.

Throughout the week, the children offered lots of encouragement to each other (and the teachers) and demonstrated great teamwork and perseverance. We had a fantastic week and we hope you enjoy looking at some of the many photos we took below.
