A big thank you to Mr Catchpole, a parent volunteer, who presented a workshop on his book, “What Happened to You?” to years 3 & 4 on Tuesday, and discussed his writing approaches and how they drew parallels with Charles Dickens.
“I think it was really fun, because Mr Catchpole gave us lots of information about some of the books he helped edit and publish. I also thought it was really cool that the book that he wrote was a little bit like his life, just like Charles Dickens’ book, David Copperfield.
He also told us that when he wrote his book, ‘What happened to you?’ it was a complete accident, and he hadn’t thought about writing it. It took 4 years to publish but he did not give up.” Coralie, Y4
