Years 5 & 6 went to the hall today, where we were greeted by a fireman who talked to us about fire safety, and what his job role was. He spoke to us about prevention and what the triangle of fire was – consisting of heat, fuel and oxygen. He told us about the different ways a fire can be started, ranging from kitchen fires, through to wires, smoking, lighters and matches. He then took questions from the audience. It was very interesting, and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we all learnt something new!
