At Phil & Jim we provide a happy, nurturing and supportive environment underpinned by our core values. All members of our school community are valued and respected, so that everyone can have a positive attitude about themselves and others. With love we flourish.

Our Christian vision is the foundation of our school and allows us to:

• Respect and love everyone for who they are
• Celebrate and serve our diverse community
• Nurture a passion for education so everyone can realise their potential

Values

Our three core values of love, compassion and community underpin all of our work in school.

We create an environment where our pupils can show love for each other, our school, our local community and global community.

Because all people have been made by a caring God and all are valued equally, we show compassion for each other, those in our community and across the globe.

In our community we model and develop trusting relationships which enable our pupils to make the right choices and keep themselves safe and happy.

Our school prayer is based on our values was written by the children of the school council and reads as follows:

Dear God,

Please give us love to care for one another.

Make us compassionate so that we can help those who are in need.

Help us to look after our community, being generous and sharing with the people around us.

From morning light to darkest night,

Amen

The prayer is often said by a member of staff as part of our assemblies and the children can join in if they would like to, although there is no expectation that they should do so.

Children, parents, carers and staff recently collaborated to write the school song, which highlights many of the aspects of being a part of our wonderful school community. This can be heard by clicking on the box below.
