On Tuesday, the KS2 members of orchestra went to the Dragon School to learn how to play gamelan music and find out about gamelan culture. This is what some year 5s said about the day.

We played gamelan orchestra on a set of cushions! I made a friend and he helped me around the place. We also went to puppet making. I liked making it. - Biel

My first activity was Gamelan dance where we used a scarf to act different people. It was amazing. - Martha

I liked gamelan day because I enjoyed the music and how we got to play it. The dancing was really fun and we got to do movement of characters in Java. We met some Dragon students who were really kind and nice. I loved Gamelan day! - Maya T
